Certainty of God’s Promise
For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.” And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. Hebrews 6:13-14 NKJV
God’s word is true. I heard many times about this wonderful truth that God is the same, yesterday and forever. If God had done it in the past, He is able to do it again and again. The world change but God never changes. Patience is a virtue. You feel like on the wait list waiting for your turn. It’s like on the grocery store or filling up your gasoline. You are next in line.
Your season of waiting has come to an end. It is your due season. You passed the test and now you are on the next level. I love to watch some competitions; they have what they called a qualifying round. This round will test your endurance, capacity and ability. Now that you have passed this round, you are candidate for the next level. It could be the bonus round or elevation round.
Life is a series of test. The more the scars, more victories are achieved. Paul describes this as affliction. He was buffet in many ways but yet he said “His grace is sufficient, when I am weak then Christ is strong.”
Receive God’s promise with an open heart. You won’t miss every promise as long as you believe. God is able to perform what he had spoken. As you continue in the journey, remember that God will finish what He had started. Heaven and earth will pass away but His words will remain faithful. You will not be put into shame. The more you conquer, the more you will experience God’s unchanging love.
